Jerry had us do a WOD today that I noticed on the mainsite last week.
For Time:
30 Handstand Pushups
40 Pullups
50 Kettlebell Swings (52#)
60 AbMat Situps
70 Burpees
Jerry mentioned a workout with 70 burpees the other day so I was looking forward to this WOD. I initially thought I could get sub 10 minutes but that expectation quickly changed when I saw the 6:00am class finishing up. I was worried about the swings and wanted to try and get as many handstand pushups at once. I ended up doing 21 consecutive Handstand pushups. Maybe not a great idea. It made the rest tough. I got back up and knocked out 6 and then 3. The pullups weren't bad, I did 20 in the first set and then broke the remaining up into 3 more sets. Then on to the kettlebell swings. I just don't feel comfortable with these, which is why I don't feel comfortable with my deadlift. I feel like I have improved but I am still not efficiently doing this movement and muscling it up. Jerry reiterated that while I was knocking out 5 sets of 10. I knew I would catch up with Danny and Tim on the AbMats and did. I was the first to start burpees. Danny was right behind me. Danny and I ended up doing sets of 10 together with about 5 seconds rest in between. It was good to have Danny push me because after 40 those burpees sucked. Danny consistently got through his 10 before me and thus finished 14:39, I finished a few seconds behind at 14:44. I was really happy with my time. Again I know my weaknesses and what I would do different but really happy. The top time from the 6am class was 22:52. A very satisfying workout to start the weekend.

part of me is sad I missed this workout, my body is very happy I missed this one. Nice time for you though!
